Mary Elizabeth (Burson) Thomas DeLoach, 88, of Millbrook died Sunday, February 15, 2015. She was born on Saturday, April 3, 1926 in Brunswick, Georgia, Daughter of the late Frank Thomas and the late Mary Rowe Thomas as well as foster parents, the late J.D. & Maude Burson. During the mid-sixties, Mary earned her Masters degree in Mathmatics from Alabama State University. She was a teacher in the Alabama school systems, the wife of a Baptist Minister and mother of four children. Mary is most remembered for her love of the Lord and her continual encouragement to others to know Him more. Surviving are Daughters, Cecelia DeLoach (Mike) Adams of Deatsville, AL, Betty DeLoach Foote of Orange Beach, AL, Joy DeLoach Lord of Houston, TX; Son, James (Karen) DeLoach of Millbrook, AL; Grandchildren, David, Chris, Phillip, Scott, Heather, Mark, Mitchell, Jamey, Elizabeth, Alec 18 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Rev. Cecil DeLoach, Grandson, Brian Arthur DeLoach and Grandson-in-law, Jeffrey Krantz. Friends will be received from 1:30-2:00, Tuesday, February 17, 2015 @ Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. Services will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church with Rev. Jarred Decker officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Methodist Cem., Billingsley, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
