Mary Etta MIMS, 91, of Clanton died Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Hatley Health Care, Clanton. She was born on Monday, October 15, 1917 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late Calvin Gentry and the late Martha Jane Easterling Mims. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are Son, Mr. Gene Mims of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Mrs. Lucille (Jerry) Adams of Clanton, AL; Brother, Mr. O'Neal Gentry of Clanton, AL; Step-Son, Mr. Bobby Ray Mims of South Carolina; 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Husband, Mr. Arthur Mims, Son, Mr. Arthur Gerald Mims, Grandson, Dewayne Mims. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, September 18, 2009 at Martin Chapel. Services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009, at 11:00 am. at Martin Chapel with Rev. W. L. Adams and Rev. Odell Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Sunshine Assembly of God Cem., Clanton, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
