Mary Helen Mims, 91, of Clanton died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Hatley Health Care, Clanton. She was born on Friday, July 27, 1923 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Glaucus Durbin and the late Iris Harris. She was a Lunch Room Worker for the Chilton County Board of Education. Surviving are Sons, Billy Charles (Faye) Atkinson of Anniston, AL, Joe Frank (Gail) Atkinson of Clanton, AL, Bobby Wayne (Martha) Atkinson of Alabaster, AL, Tommy Ray Atkinson of Clanton, AL; Grandsons, Rob Atkinson, Grant Atkinson; Granddaughters, Ashley Atkinson Scott, Laura Atkinson Hart, Lachreshia Sumrall; Great-Grandsons, Conner, Garrett & Kellen Hart, Hayden & Nolen Atkinson Cooper Scott; Great-Granddaughters, Anna Claire Scott & Kalie Sumrall; Brothers, Jimmy Durbin & Jerry Durbin; Sister, Ann Rasberry. Preceded in death by Husband, W.W. Atkinson, Son, Roy Atkinson, Brothers, James Monroe Durbin, Comer Durbin; Sisters, Mildred Chandler, Edna Braswell, Lois Cobb & Marie Sanders. Friends will be received from 10-11, Friday, October 3, 2014 @ West End Baptist Church. Services will be held Friday, October 3, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at West End Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Wilson and Rev. David Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery, Clanton, AL.
