Mary N. Popwell, 94, of Clanton died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Merry Wood Lodge, Elmore. She was born on Friday, November 28, 1919 in Birmingham, AL, Daughter of the late John Otis Henry Newell and the late Willie Reynolds Newell. Surviving are her Daughters, Chris Popwell (David) Dodd of Millbrook, AL, Carole Popwell Adams of Carrabelle, FL; Granddaughter, Newell Dodd (Kevin Waldrop) of LaPorte, TX; Great-Grandson, Keegan Waldrop of LaPorte, TX; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, & Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Willie Newell; Grandparents, Judge L. H. and Dora Reynolds; Sisters, Helen McKinstry, Elizabeth Squires, Kathryn Crowson. Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Clanton City Cemetery with Rev. Barbara Bowers Brewi officiating. Martin Funeral Home directing.
