Mary Charles Rush Stewart, 88, of Clanton, Alabama passed away May 11, 2025, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL.

She was born July 17, 1936, in Alabama, daughter of the late Charles Willis Rush and the late Verna Rush.

She was a Food Service Supervisor.

Surviving are her Son, Eldridge B. (Virginia) Stewart; Daughter, Julia Stewart Willcutt; Grandchildren, Matthew E. (Mae) Stewart, Valerie S. (Justin) Nelson, Clifford Hilton Willcutt, IV, Thomas Michael Willcutt; Great-Grandchildren, Evie, Lucy, Mattie, Parker, Samuel, Addi Pam, Ridge and Emmy K.; A host of other family.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Willis Rush; Mother, Verna Davis Rush; Husband, Thomas Bernard Stewart; Son, Charles Michael Stewart; 4 brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Stanton Bible Methodist Church with Logan Sankey officiating.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Stanton, Alabama.
