Vassar,Mary Elizabeth Bell age 85 of Asheville, NC went to be with Jesus on Thursday, September 1, 2016. She was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Trans America in Los Angeles, CA. Mary was survived by her husband Donald R. Vasser of Asheville NC, her sister Virginia Cornelius of Alabaster, AL, sister in law Neth Bell of Asheville NC and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Onie and Evie Bell, brothers John Bell, Marion Bell, Earl Bell, Oliver Bell, Byron Bell, James Bell and sisters Claire Givhan, Ruth Rice and Frances Harrison. Funeral services will be held at Mulberry Baptist Church in Maplesville, AL on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 2:00 with burial in the church cemetery by her parents per her wish. Visitation one hour before the service from 1:00 to 2:00. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the church made payable to Mulberry Baptist Church 12268 County road 15, Maplesville, AL 36750.
