Mary Wood Martin, 93, of Clanton died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born on Saturday, June 24, 1922 in Jefferson Co., AL, Daughter of the late Benjamin Wood and the late Jessie Perkins Wood. She was a Personal Manager. Surviving are her Daughters, Mary Jane Shaver of Atlanta, GA, Paula (Don) Josephs of Clanton, AL; Granddaughter, Paula (Scott) Carter of Los Angeles, CA; Great-Grandson, Conner Carter of Los Angeles, CA; Great-Niece, Kelly (Edwin) Petty of Clanton, AL; A host of nieces, nephews, & other family; Special Friends, Bea Headley & Gloria Carroll. Friends will be received from 5-7, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Martin Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial, Trussville, AL, with Rev. Jim Shannon officiating. No Flowers.
