Marylene Elizabeth Lowery

Marylene Elizabeth Lowery, 95, of Fairhope, Alabama passed away on September 25, 2025, at her residence in Fairhope, Alabama.

She was born on October 18, 1929, in Shelby County, Alabama, and was the daughter of the late James and Laverta Reid.

Marylene , husband William Lowery attended Liberty Hill. William was the choir director several years. They were dedicated members. 

Marylene and her family moved to Montgomery in 1968. The family were members of Forest Park Baptist. William passed away in 1998, and Marylene moved to be close to Kay and her family in Fairhope, Alabama in 2002. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Fairhope.

Surviving are her Daughter, Jeanie Kay (Jim) Walther; Son, Jerry Lowery; Grandson, Jamie Walther; Granddaughters, Allison (Nick) Walther, Molly Lowery, and Janna McVickers; Great-Granddaughter, Ashlyn McVickers; Great-Grandson, James McVickers; Brother, Bill (Louise) Reid.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, James Emmett and Laverta Reid; Husband, William Lowery; Brother, James Reid; Daughter-in-law, Judy Lowery.

Services will be held graveside on Sunday September 28, at 2:00 P.M.at Liberty Hill Baptist , Clanton, with Dr. Jay Cooper, officiating.
