Mason Arnold Phillips, 88, of Clanton died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Monday, August 28, 1922 in Alabama, Son of the late John Mason Phillips and the late Lily Alma McCoy Phillips. He was a Lineman with Alabama Power. Surviving are his 2 Daughters, Patricia (Johnny) Wells of Summiton, AL, Cynthia Franklin of Clanton, AL; 2 Sons, Alan (Brenda) Phillips of Clanton, AL, Bruce Phillips of Clanton, AL; Step-son, Bob Carter of Heflin, AL; Step-daughter, Debra (Jimmy) Cavender of Heflin, AL; Brother, Clell (Jimmie) Phillips of Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Johnnie "Carter" Phillips. Friends will be received from 5-8, Tuesday, May 24, 2011 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Smith officiating.
