Melba Jean Adams, 72, of Verbena died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center South, Montgomery. She was born on Thursday, September 18, 1941 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Horace Cleckler and the late Myrtle Mims. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are Daughter, Becky Pate of Clanton, AL; 2 Sons, David (Sandra) Pate of Maplesville, AL, Russell (Lilly) Carroll of Clanton, AL; 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Kenneth Cleckler of Clanton, AL; 2 Sisters, Myra Davis and Ester Jones of Clanton, AL. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Horace & Myrtle Cleckler and her Infant Son, Timothy Carroll. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, November 22, 2013 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Jackson Chapel Church with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Chapel Cemetery, Clanton, AL.
