Melba Calloway, 91, of Clanton, Alabama passed away February 25, 2021 at her residence in Clanton, Alabama. She was born July 28, 1929, daughter of the late Marion Mims and the late Irene Robinson Mims. She was a School Teacher. Surviving are her Son, Charles "Chuck" Arthur (Diane) Calloway Jr.; Daughter, Robin C. (Kenneth) Ray; Granddaughter, April (Brandon) McKnight; Granddaughter, Beth (Matt) Edwards; Great-Grandson, Preston Edwards; Great-Granddaughter, Caroline McKnight; Great-Grandson, Asa McKnight; Sister in law, Doris Mims; Sister in law, Faye Russell; Granddaughter, Alex (Scott) Ellison; Granddaughter, Allison (Blake) Bright; Great-Grandchildren, Dylan and Alivia Ellison; Great-Grandchildren, Bennett, Barrett, and Ansley Bright. She was preceded in death by Her Husband, Charles "Bill" Arthur Calloway, Sr.; Father, Marion Mims; Mother, Irene Robinson Mims; Brother, Jimmy Mims. Friends will be received Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church #2. Services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church #2 with Rev. Glenn Bonds officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist #2 Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Matt Edwards, Brandon McKnight, Corey Clark, Joe Ben Calloway, Chris Calloway and Preston Edwards.
