Melba Patton PETERSON, 88, of Jemison died Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Homeland Assisted Living, Jemison. She was born on Saturday, September 6, 1919 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late James W. Patton and the late Silsbee Bristow. She was a School Teacher. Surviving are her Son, Mr. Robert L. Peterson of Jemison, AL; 2 Daughters, Mrs. Julia Cleckler of Jemison, AL, Ms. Elizabeth Peterson of Jemison, AL; Sister, Mrs. Mary James Dendy of Huntsville, AL; 3 , 3 Granddaughters, 2 Great-Grandsons, 1 Great-Granddaughter. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, August 8, 2008 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008, at 2:00 pm. at Jemison First Baptist Church with Rev. John Davis and Rev. Robert Singleterry officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Jemison, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
