Short, Ms. Melinda Kay, age 46, a resident of Clanton passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016. Funeral services will be on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 3:00 pm from Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Lovett officiating. Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by her father, Kenneth C. Short of Clanton; brother, Allen (Lisa) Short of Jemison; nephews, Derek (Monica) Short of Jemison and Corey Short of Jemison; great niece, Olivia Short; and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Short. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Sunday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
