Michael Eugene Maddox

Michael Eugene Maddox, born on January 12, 1972, in Alabama, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. He was a cherished member of the community whose warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was born January 12, 1972, in Alabama, son of the late Elmer Maddox and the late Elaine Maddox.

Michael's life was characterized by his gentle spirit. He approached each day with a passion that inspired others, often taking the time to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. As a resident of Alabama, he deeply valued the connections he forged with friends and neighbors alike. There are many things that Michael loved, but God, church, Alabama football, and his family were the greatest of all.

Surviving are his Sister, Martha Smith; Brothers, Andy (Debra) Smith, Jonathan (Melissa) Smith; Brother-in-Law, Billy Loyd; Grandchildren, Macie Morris, Logan Maddox, Tyler Smith, Nathan Smith, Todd Smith, Bradan Smith, Savannah Smith; Great-Grandchildren, Jase Smith, Hudson Morris.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Elmer & Elaine Maddox; Brother, Jeff Maddox; Sister, Elizabeth Loyd.

His legacy will be honored through a visitation at Martin Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1300 4th Ave. N, Clanton, AL 35045, on October 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location at 1:00 PM, concluding at 2:00 PM.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.

Although Michael is no longer with us, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life. His ability to bring joy and laughter into the lives of others will not be forgotten. We are grateful for the time we had with him and will cherish the moments of love and friendship shared.
