Mildred W. Adkins, 84, of Clanton died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Friday, May 6, 1927 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late Richard Wilson and the late Ollie Knight Wilson. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are 2 Sons, Harry Adkins and James Adkins of Thorsby, AL; Daughter, Nan Ryan of Calera, AL; 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister, Nell Headley of Calera, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Adkins. Friends will be received from 11-1, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 1:00 pm. at Graveside with Rev. Von McQueen officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
