Miriam Golden Craig

February 2, 1943 — August 5, 2024

Miriam Ruth Golden Craig, 81, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away August 5, 2024, at her home in Birmingham, AL.

She was born February 2, 1943, in Clanton Alabama, daughter of the late Dr. William Colyn Golden and the late Grace Rhodes Golden.

She was a loving wife, tireless mother, proud great grandmother, loyal friend, and faith-filled woman. Miriam cared deeply for others, quietly giving of herself and her means, expecting no recognition. She proclaimed she was a true hippie at heart, and that we should all love one another. She opened her home to all in need and created a relaxed atmosphere where fun was sure to be had. She loved the beach and the water and for several years, she jumped into the gulf on New Years’ Day. She was a wonderful pianist, organist and vocalist and contributed her many talents to worship over the years. May we all remember Miriam for the bold woman she was and the legacy of love she leaves.

Surviving are her Sons, Dr. Adam Craig, Colyn (Shae) Craig, Benjamin Craig; Daughter, Marie (Jacob) Knight; Granddaughters, Abigail Craig, Emily (Kobe) Anderson, Isabelle Craig, Wendy Craig, Miriam Jane Knight; Grandsons, Mitchell Craig, William Knight; Great-Granddaughter, Edith Anderson; Sister, Louise (William) Reid; Niece, Grace Scarberry.
