Mitchell Scott Gams, 32, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Mitch grew up in Mountain Brook, Alabama where he graduated from Mountain Brook High School in 2016. Mitch was a man of tremendous heart and gentle spirit who dedicated much of his life to serving others. As an active and committed member of Narcotics Anonymous, he played a vital role in the NA community across Alabama, helping to establish new chapters and walking alongside others on their journeys toward recovery. His presence in those rooms made a lasting difference in countless lives. When he wasn't giving back to his community, Mitch could be found outdoors — fishing, hiking, camping, or kayaking. He approached nature with the same enthusiasm and openness he brought to everything in life. Above all, Mitch was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his mother, Stacy White, and stepfather James White; his father, David Gams, and stepmother Valerie Murphree; his sister, Courtney (Gams) Keller, and brother-in-law Andrew Keller; and his beloved niece, Summer Keller. Mitchell Scott Gams leaves behind a legacy of compassion, courage, and community. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Brookwood Baptist Church, Mountain Brook, Alabama.
