Mittice G. Posey

Mittice G. Posey, 88, of Jemison, Alabama passed away January 24, 2023, at her residence.

She was born October 17, 1934, in Alabama, daughter of the late Elbert Golder Gothard and the late Thelma Melton Gothard.

She was a Monitor Tech.

Surviving are her Daughters, Peggy Cole, Patsy (David) Leach and Pam (Robert) Pittman; Sons, Stanley Posey and Shelby (Angie) Posey, Nine  Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, One Great-Great Grandchild, and a Host of Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Elbert Golder Gothard; Mother, Thelma Gothard; Husband, James A. Posey; Sister, Kathryn Hopper; Granddaughter, Melanie Grace Jones; Grandson, Tommy James Jones.

Friends will be received Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church.

Services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Jacob Brown and  Rev. William Short officiating.

Interment will follow in Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery, Jemison, Alabama.
