Mollie Faye Thomas

Mollie Faye Thomas, 82, of Verbena, Alabama passed away June 22, 2023, at Merry Wood Lodge in Elmore, Alabama.

She was born July 20, 1940, in Alabama, daughter of the late Claude M. Thomas and the late Mary Glenn Thomas.

She was employed with Gulf States Paper during her working years. She was a lifelong member of Chestnut Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Surviving are her Nieces, Wanda Ballard, Linda Navarro, Sarah Thomas, Myra Cleckler, Kristi Parrish and Misti Jackson; Nephews, Ronnie Mims, Keith Wise and Mark Cleckler; and a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Claude M. Thomas; Mother, Mary Glenn Thomas; Brothers, Herman Thomas and Leon Thomas; Sisters, Myrtis Mims, Clara Wise and Carol Cleckler; Nephews, D. C. Thomas, Johnny Thomas and Doug Thomas.

Friends will be received Monday, June 26, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 26, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Mims officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
