Myrna Frith Smitherman

Myrna Frith Smitherman, age 78 of Lawley, Alabama passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Friday, February 9, 2024.

She was born April 11, 1945, in Alabama, daughter of the late Trester Frith and the late Mae Frith.

Mrs. Myrna was a loving wife, mother and nanny. She loved to sit outside and wait for her boys to come home. She loved flowers and jewelry. Nanny loved her puppy Mae Mae. Mrs. Myrna was deeply loved, and will truly be missed.

She is survived by her loving Husband, Jack Smitherman; Son, James Higginbotham (Jennifer); Sister, Rhonda Freeman; Grandchildren, Candis Pate (Adam), Jamie Higginbotham, Jacob Higginbotham; 6 Great-Grandchildren; and her Sweet Puppy, Mae Mae.

She is proceeded in death by her Parents, Trester and Mae Frith; Son, Wesley Higginbotham; Sisters, Mary Frances Payne, Glenda Wallace; and her Sweet Puppy Hershey.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Medline Baptist Church in Lawley Alabama on Saturday, February 17 at 1 PM.

Interment will follow at Medline Baptist Cemetery.
