Myrtice Lorene Cost Turner, 96, of Clanton died Monday, October 7, 2013 at UAB, Birmingham. She was born on Wednesday, April 4, 1917 in Alabama, Daughter of the late John P. Cost and the late Reacie Lowery Cost. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her Daughters, Mrs. Joyce Campbell of Clanton, AL, Mrs. Barbara (Rufus) Webster of Clanton, AL, Mrs. Betty Hays of Clanton, AL; Sons, Mr. Charles (Linda) Turner of Autaugaville, AL, Mr. Larry (Marsha) Turner of Clanton, AL; Sisters, Mrs. Jewel Wyatt of Clanton, AL, Mrs. Jessie Smith of Bowie, MD; Sister-in-Law, Mrs. Juanita Lowry of Oliver Springs, TN; 4 , 15 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild, A Host of Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Mr. E.H. Turner; Parents, John P. & Reacie Cost; Brother, Mr. Willie F.C. Cost; Son-in-Law & Grandchildren, John, Teresa, Richard, & Johnny Thomas. Myrtice was the oldest member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, member of the Esther Sunday School Class, and the Clanton Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a full-time homemaker devoting herself to caring for her family as well as spending months caring for her ill mother. Myrtice was a woman of faith. She enjoyed her flower garden, canning fresh fruit & vegetables, and going to church fellowshipping with friends. She will be greatly missed. Friends will be received from 12:30-2:00, Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Services will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Dodson officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cem., Clanton, Alabama.
