Myrtis Junie Mims, 84, of Clanton died Monday, August 26, 2013 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Wednesday, June 12, 1929 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Alton Driver and the late Effie Mae Mims Driver. She was a Homemaker and retired from the State of Alabama Teachers Retirement System. Surviving are her Son, Edwin Mims of Atlanta, GA; Sister, Frances (Donald) Mitchell of Clanton, AL; Nephew, Ray (Brenda) Mitchell of Tallahassee, FL. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Addis Eugene Mims. Friends will be received from 5-8, Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
