Myrtle Hopkins Lovelady, 92, of Randolph, Alabama died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 13, 1925 in Dallas Co., AL, Daughter of the late Sammie F. Hopkins and the late Madeline Rush Hopkins. Surviving are her Sons, Butch (Sharon) Lovelady of Shelby, AL, Milton (Wanda) Lovelady of Equality, AL; Grandchildren Chris Lovelady of Alabaster, AL, Cari (Craig) Motuzas of Nashville TN, Susan (Warren) Beason of Birmingham, AL, Adam (Tracy) Lovelady of Chapel Hill, NC; Great-Grandchildren Robert Beason, Jack Beason, Carter Lovelady, Ben Lovelady, Camille Beason and Andrew Lovelady; Sister Betty Warr; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Ralph G. Lovelady. An active member of Randolph Baptist Church, Lawley Homemakers Club and Chilton County Cowbelles, she taught the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School class for many years. She loved people, flowers, her church, her friends and her family. But most of all she loved Her Lord and the message of His salvation. She was "love on wheels" for friends suffering a loss, needing a meal, or confined to their home. She loved farming, whether raking hay or bottle feeding baby calves. She will be most remembered by countless guys for her delicious meals and sweet tea during hay season. Friends will be received from 5 - 7 p.m., Thursday, August, 24, 2017 at Randolph Baptist Church. Services will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Randolph Baptist Church with Tony Reynolds officiating. Martin Funeral Home directing.
