Mary Lynelle "Nell" Jones, 82, of Thorsby died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Hatley Health Care, Clanton. She was born on Friday, June 28, 1935 in Bessemer, AL , Daughter of the late John Shoemacker Simmons and the late Mildred Burchfield Simmons. She worked for the State of Alabama. Surviving are her Sons, Johnny Diemer of Thorsby, AL, David Caudle of Clanton, AL, Mark (Sharon) Caudle of Thorsby, AL, Carl (Angie) Caudle of Clanton, AL, daughter, Nancy (John) Ling of Chelsea, AL; 15 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren; Brothers, Sonny Simmons of West Blocton, AL, Jimmy Simmons of Bessemer, AL; Sisters, Pat Taylor of Hueytown, AL, Carolyn Snyder of Uniontown, AL, Dianne Simmons Dill of Riverside, AL; Numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Son, Larry Simmons; Sister, Elaine Radtke. Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Randy Gothard officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, AL.
