Nellie Jo Posey Milam

Nellie Jo Posey Milam, born on October 28, 1934, was married to William Richard Milam in 1954 until his death in 2010. They had 8 children and a very prosperous life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a caregiver for many years. She was a Christian and was called home by God on the evening of May 20, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Milam; daughter, Raymona Milam, who passed after a 10 year battle with cancer; granddaughter, Brittany Clark; father, Herbert Marvin Posey; mother, Clara Webb Posey; 2 brothers, James & Henry Posey; and 4 sisters, Evelyn Busby, Irene Duncan, Margie Kaminski, and Myrtle Walker.

She is survived by her sons, Ricky Milam, Ronnie Milam, and Paul (Susan) Milam; daughters, Sheri Debois, Vickie Minor, Alyson (Steve) Hill, and Kim Price.

She is survived by her 15 grandkids: Chris (Jessica) Minor, Jerome (Amanda) Minor, Bradley (Dena) Price, Ashley Milam, Toshia Milam, Amber Price, Brianna Veazey, Courtney (Logan) Ingram, Blake Milam, Hunter (Morgan) Glass, Cheyenne (Dylan) Carden, Chance Milam, Caleb Milam, Brooklynn Clark, and Maverick Boehm; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Jeanette Castaneda.

What a legacy to leave here on Earth. She was very much loved by all who knew her. She will be very missed, but the family takes solace in knowing she is finally at peace and reunited with her husband and daughter once again.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Guinn officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery.
