Nellie Jean Nelson, 89, of Alabaster died Thursday, August 22, 2019. Mrs. Nellie Jean Nelson was born on Saturday, June 14, 1930 in Birmingham, AL. She was the daughter of the late Bertha Cassels Laposka. She was a X-Ray Technician in the medical field. Surviving are Daughter, Terri (Greg) Nobles of Clanton, AL; 2 Grandchildren, Kathryn Nobles of Huntsville, AL, Rebecca (Danny) Brown of Clanton, AL; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Danielle Brown of Clanton, AL, Lacy Brown of Clanton, AL; 2 Sisters, Sherrel (David) Poole of Mobile, AL, Gloria Acton of Trussville, AL; Sister-In-Law, Faye Nelson of Alabaster, AL; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Husband, Charles "Bunk" Nelson, Jr.; Mother, Bertha Cassels Laposka; Brother, Ken Nelson; Sister, Joy Comer. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Greg Nobles officiating.
