Norma Jean Barnett, 77, of Gardendale died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at 121 Lynwood Street, Gardendale. She was born on Wednesday, December 6, 1939 in Kentucky. Daughter of the late George Willis Douglas & Irene Collins Douglas. She worked at a nursing home in housekeeping. Surviving are Sons, George (Shelly) Alstott of Clanton, AL, John (Wendy) Alstott of Gardendale, AL; Grandchildren, Samuel Alstott, Chrystal Alstott, Johnathan Alstott, Elizabeth Alstott; Sisters, Nancy Douglas of Lexington, KY, Beverly Douglas Thompson of Lexington, KY; Brother, David Douglas of Lexington, KY, Ronnie Douglas & Jimmy Douglas. Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Services will be held Friday, December 30, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist with Rev. Justin Caton officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery, Calera, AL. No flowers, please donate to the funeral fund. Martin Funeral Home directing.
