Peggy Sue Gothard

Peggy Sue Gothard, 73, of Jemison, Alabama passed away November 19, 2025, at UAB St. Vincent's East, Birmingham, AL.

She was born November 25, 1951, in Clanton, Alabama, daughter of the late Woodrow Cofer and the late Rethea Mae Cofer.

She was loving wife of 56 years, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whom she loved dearly.

Surviving are her Husband, Doyle Eugene "Gene" Gothard; Sons, Darrell (Tracey) Gothard, Jeff (Ann) Gothard; Daughter, Connie (Jimmy) Presley; Granddaughters, Courtney Wright, Lacey Gothard, Ashley Gothard, Mallisa Kiley, Allisa Byers, Tiffany Griffin, Amber Martin; 8 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Evelyn Varden, Sharon Robinison, Vickie Cofer; Brother, Randy Coffer,.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Woodrow Cofer; Mother, Rethea Mae Cofer; Brother, Charles Cofer.

Friends will be received Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church.

Services will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Gothard and Rev. Clark Thompson officiating.

Interment will follow in Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery, Jemison, Alabama.
