Peggy Jean Hooks, 76, of Thorsby, Alabama passed away May 25, 2026, at the Healthcare Center at Buck Creek in Alabaster, AL.

She was born December 18, 1949, in Alabama, daughter of the late John McGalliard and the late Ima Anderson Carter.

She was a Homemaker.

Surviving are her Son, Kenneth Wayne Hooks; Brothers, John McGalliard, Mike McGalliard; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Franklin Wayne Hooks; Father, John C. McGalliard, Jr.; Mother, Ima Anderson Carter; Infant Daughter, Cassie Kay; sisters-in-law, Judy McGalliard, Peggy McGalliard.

Friends will be received Friday, May 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Union Congregational Christian Church.

Services will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Union Congregational Christian Church with Pastor Glenn Ross, officiating.

Interment will follow in Union Congregational Christian Church, Marbury, Alabama.
