Peggy Jo Porter, 91, of Clanton, Alabama passed away peacefully at home June 17, 2024.
She was born to Marion and Eula Littlejohn on July 28, 1932. She was a very caring person and a devoted mother. She was a nurse for 55 years, touching the lives of many people. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church since the age of nine. She was married to the late James A, Porter for 20 years.
Surviving are her Children, Rebecca (Jimmy) Hayes, Johnny Scott, Kimberley Scott; Grandchildren; Hollie (Jay) Chestnut, Noah Scott, Niko Scott; and Great-Grandchildren, Emma Chestnut and Sophie Chestnut.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Frances Marion Littlejohn; Mother, Eula Littlejohn; Husband, James A. Porter.
Friends will be received Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Kent Dodson, officiating.
Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
