Peggy Janet Rawlinson, 87, of Clanton, Alabama passed away October 24, 2021 at her residence in Clanton, AL. She was born February 8, 1934 and is the daughter of the late Fred Mayfield and the late Lera Mayfield. She was a supervisor for many years in the garment industry, but her first love was cooking. She loved cooking and canning for all of her family and friends. She retired from the Chilton County Jail as head cook. Surviving are her Daughter, Robin (Ricky) Easterling; Son, Joseph Smith; Brothers, Toby Mayfield, Freddie (Jean) Mayfield; Granddaughters, Joanna Smith, Janae (Ron) Pinson; Grandsons, Jody (Heather) Easterling, Jesse Smith; Great-Grandsons, Joey Smith, Hollis Easterling, Brandon Smith; Great-Granddaughters, Ava Traywick, Amelia Easterling. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Hollis Smith; Husband, Ed Rawlinson; Son, Jim Smith; Father, Fred Mayfield; Mother, Lera Leon Mayfield; Great-Granddaughter, Jade Smith. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. Services will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Wyatt and Rev. Tony Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo United Methodist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
