Peggy Wood Weldon of Clanton, Alabama passed away September 14, 2026, at her residence in Clanton, AL.

She was born February 8, in Alabama, daughter of the late Claude Wood and the late Norine Wood.

She was a Co-Owner of Weldon Paint and Carpet.

Surviving are her Daughter, Donna Tillery; Son, David Weldon; Granddaughters, Michelle (Anthony) Davis, Kristie (Brad) Searcy; Great-Grandsons, Dawson Davis, Kaleb Searcy, Owen Searcy.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Kenneth C. Weldon; Father, Claude E. Wood; Mother, Norine Wood; Great-Grandson, Dylan Davis; Great-Granddaughter-in-Law, Kelsie Davis; Brother, Claude Wood, Jr.; Son-in-Law, Mack Tillery.

Friends will be received Friday, September 25, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Services will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 am. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hannah and the team at Southern Care Hospice. Hannah was especially amazing going above and beyond on more than one occasion.
