Phillip Harold Fraser

Phillip Harold Fraser, 90, of Clanton, Alabama passed away June 2, 2023 at his home.  He was surrounded by family and dear friends.

He was born August 17, 1932 in Clanton, Alabama, son of the late Alexander Grant Fraser and the late Arrie Bell Edwards Fraser.

He honorably served in the United States Army where he received an Army Occupational Medal (Germany); a National Defense Service Medal; and a Good Conduct Medal.  Following his enlisted service, he retired after 30 years of Civil Service at Maxwell Air Force Base.

Surviving are his Wife, Alice Fraser of Clanton, AL; Daughters, Debbie (Morris) Padgett of Panama City Beach, FL, Phyllis Hardee of Clanton, AL, Renee Helms of Clanton, AL; Grandchildren, Allison (Amelia) Padgett of Savannah, GA, Rick Bush of Clanton, AL, Courtney Gray of Clanton, AL, Heather (Kevin) Knapp of Pensacola, FL, Mackenzie Black of Thorsby, AL; Great Grandchildren, Collins Padgett of Savannah, GA, Grant Padgett of Savannah, GA, Barrett Gray of Clanton, AL, Noah Knapp of Pensacola, FL; Brother, Don Fraser of Clanton, AL; and loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Alexander Fraser; Mother, Arrie Bell Fraser; Brother, Elliott Fraser; Sisters, Marie DeLoach, Lou Kelly, Edith Baker.

Family will be received Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Samaria Baptist Church, Clanton, Alabama.

Services will be Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Samaria Baptist Church, Clanton, Alabama with Rev. Shane Wyatt officiating.

Interment will follow in the Samaria Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.

The family would like to thank the staff of Enhabit Hospice, especially Christie Harrison who spent endless hours with us.

Martin Funeral Home will be directing.

The family requests no flowers.  Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Chilton County.
