He was a Owner/Operator. Served in the US Army during the Korean War. Also a Baptist Minister since 1989. Surviving are Wife, Gail Mims Melton of Jemison, AL; Sons, Marshall (Misty) Melton of Maplesville, AL, Ralph "Andy" (Beth) Melton, North Dakota; Daughter, Catherine "Abby" Smith of Maplesville, AL; Brother, Redell Melton of Las Vegas, NV; Sister, Rebecca "Ellen" Wood of Centreville, AL; 5 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Cecil & Lucille Melton, Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nicole Melton, Michael Andrew Melton. Friends will be received from 5-7, Monday, June 18, 2018 @ Martin Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL.
