Ret. CMSgt. Ralph Allen Varden, 69, of Thorsby died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Wednesday, December 4, 1940 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Robert Bernie Varden and the late Louise Ellison Varden. He was a Chief Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Surviving are his Wife, Jean Varden of Thorsby, AL; Son, Bryan K. Varden of Cumming, GA; Daughter, Theresa A. Curtis of Thorsby, AL; 2 Grandchildren, Aaron M. Varden of Thorsby, AL, Brandon S. Varden of Thorsby, AL; Brother, Robert O. "Pete" (Myra) Varden of Jemison, AL; Sister, Brenda G. (Gary) Miller of Jemison, AL; A Host of Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Robert Bernie Varden and Mother, Louise Ellison Varden. Friends will be received from 5-7, Sunday, February 14, 2010 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Monday, February 15, 2010, at 10:15 A.M.. at Graveside with Rev.
