Richard Chester HAYES, 80, of Clanton died Monday, November 10, 2008 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, October 7, 1928 in Alabama, Son of the late Richard Albert Hayes and Julie Hayes. He was a Welder/Electrician. Surviving are his Son, Mr. Johnny (Carol) Hayes of Jemison, AL; 3 Sisters, Mrs. Dean Roper of Clanton, AL, Mrs. Pauline Arant of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Essie Anderson of Clanton, AL; Brother, Mr. Linwood Hayes of Jemison, AL; Grandchildren, Ashley & Drake Hayes of Jemison, AL. Friends will be received from 5-8, Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2008, at 11:00AM. at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating. Interment will follow in New Cedron, Billingsley, AL Martin Funeral Home directing.
