Richard "Rick" Ward Plaice, 62, of Niceville, FL. died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center Princeton, Birmingham. He was born on Thursday, January 24, 1952 in Wilmington, N.C., Son of the late Franklin Ward Plaice and Blanche Sundberg Sammons. He was a Electrician. Surviving are Wife, Debbie Plaice; Sons, Joshua (Alaina) Plaice, Zachery (Brianna) Plaice; Mother, Blanche Sammons; Sister, Jill Plaice; Brother, Dennis (Darlene) Sammons. He was preceded in death by his Father, Frank Plaice. Friends will be received from 11-12, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at 12:00 P.M. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Southern Heritage, Pelham, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity. Martin Funeral Home directing. You may leave online condolences on the guest registry for the family at our website.
