Rickey Lyndal Jones, Sr.

On Friday, March 25, 2022, Rickey Lyndal Jones, Sr., loving husband, father, grandfather and friend went home to be with Jesus at the age of 73.

He was born on October 2, 1948 in Clanton, Alabama. He was married to Sherrill 54 years and together they raised three sons, Rickey, Jr, Jason and Eric.

Rickey (Pop as he was known to everyone) loved spending time with his family and friends making memories at the river building campfires and riding his pontoon.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Daniel and his Mother, Olene; Sister, Cheryl Jones Brasher.

He is survived by his Wife, Sherrill Jones; Sons, Rickey Jones, Jr., Jason Jones and Eric (April ) Jones; Brothers, Paul (Ann) Price and Glenn (Gail) Jones; Grandchildren, Meghann Greim, Dalton Jones, Ricky Jones, Tiffany Jones, Emma Jones and Elijah Jones; Great-Grandchildren, Adrian, Madelyn and Micah;  numerous cousins nieces, and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held , April 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Chilton Memorial Gardens.

Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton, Alabama.
