Robert Morris "Bob" Abernathy, 84, of Clanton, Alabama passed away August 9, 2025, at his residence in Clanton, AL.
He was born December 19, 1940, in Alabama, son of the late Jess Abernathy and the late Ava Lou Abernathy.
He was the owner of Bob's Business Machines.
Surviving are his Wife, Mary Jo Abernathy; Daughter, Karen Mitchell; Son, Bobby (Janet) Abernathy; Brother, Richard (Sue) Abernathy; Sister, Nadean Bryant; A host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Jess Abernathy; Mother, Ava Lou Abernathy; Sisters, Wanda, Brenda, Gayle and Jewel; Brothers, Ed, Lenward and Clifford.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, 8/18/2025 at 10:15 am in the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama. Family and friends please meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to First Baptist Church, Clanton, AL
