Robert Edward Atcheson, Jr was welcomed into the arms of his loving savior January 8, 2026. He was born in Maplesville, Alabama on July 28, 1943, the son of Robert and Minnie Pearl Atcheson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His greatest joy in life was his family. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He faithfully served as a Pastor at the Maplesville Community Holiness Church for many years, guiding and uplifting many through his ministry, while also working for many years as a dedicated truck driver, providing for his family honestly and with hard work.

Whether behind the pulpit preaching or ministering through song, he served with faith, humility and dedication, touching countless lives along the way.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Atcheson, daughter, Donna (Sandra) Atcheson, son, Michael (Sharron) Atcheson, grandsons, Brandon (Anna) Atcheson, Michael (Kaitlyn) Philhower, granddaughter, Monica (Kevin) Carroway, great grandchildren, Braden Atcheson, Adler Atcheson, Olivia Atcheson, Paeton Carroway, Colton Carroway, Sebastyan Carroway, Anna Carroway, and Bryan Carroway, sisters, Bonnie Smitherman, Ann Atcheson, and Linda (Donnie) Harrison, brother, Jerry Atcheson, and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Minnie Pearl Atcheson, brother, Thomas Atcheson, and Sister, Shirley Green.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Atcheson, Michael Philhower, Braden Atcheson, Kevin Carroway, Sebastyan Carroway and Ricky Atcheson.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Brooke Jones with Enhabit Hospice and their staff for their compassionate care and kindness during our Dad’s sickness and final days.
