He was born on Sunday, August 13, 1939 in Jefferson Co., AL, Son of the late Marvin Atchison and the late Lucille Stough Atchison. He was a Postman. He was also retired from the Navy. Surviving are his Wife, Betty Atchison; Son, Robert Timothy Atchison; 2 Daughters, Brenda D. Brantley, Donna Hope Tate; 6 Grandchildren, Kristine Atchison, Alexandria Atchison, Stephanie Brantley, Lauren Brantley, Hope Tate, Hunter Tate; Great-Grandchild, Grayson; 6 Brothers, Donald (Carol) Atchison, M.R. Atchison, Doyle (Carolyn) Atchison, Joel (Hilda) Atchison, Eddie (Cecilia) Atchison, Paul (Catherine) Atchison; 3 Sisters, Shelby Jean(Dewayne) Matchan, Alice (Brooks) Burnett, Dianna Atchison. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Marvin & Lucille Atchison and Sister, Mary Frances Burt. Friends will be received from 6-8, Wednesday, October 13, 2010 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 1:00 P.M.. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Mims and Rev. Clint Harris officiating.
