Robert Keith Cox

Robert Keith Cox, 64, of Clanton, Alabama passed away July 23, 2022 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

He was born November 12, 1957 in Montgomery, Alabama, son of the late James Robert Cox and the late Betty Cox Taylor.

He was raised on a family farm in Billingsley, Alabama and was a life-long member of Bethsalem Baptist church. He graduated from Verbena High School where he was an incredible athlete playing baseball, basketball, and football. His love of sports continued into adulthood and he enjoyed following college and professional sports. He was a carpenter and a follower of Jesus. He loved spending his time outdoors. He adored his role as Papa to Cheryl's four granddaughters Amelia, Lily, Lucy, and Cora.

Surviving are his Wife, Cheryl Henderson; Son, Casey Cox; Sister, Rene' (Joe) Spain; Sister Jamie Cox; Brother, Jason Cox; Sister, Shannon Williams; Nieces, SK (Joe) Hutchings, Haylee Jason Cox, Shannon Cox, Rachel Roberts; Nephew, Justice Cox.

He was preceded in death by his Father, James Robert Cox and Mother, Betty Cox Taylor.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, at his home in Clanton, Alabama. Further details will follow.
