He was born on Tuesday, January 6, 1931 in Alabama, Son of the late Arthur Lemuel Horton and the late Minnie Elizabeth Atchison Horton. He was a Bank Courier for NBSC of Columbia, SC. Surviving are his Daughters, Diane H. Blume of Batesburg, SC, Shirley H. Howell of West Columbia, SC, Marie H. Fluitt of Columbia, SC; Son, Robert Donald "RD" Horton, Jr. of Gaston, SC; Sister, Lucille H. Little of Clanton, AL; Brother, Claude Lemuel Horton of Clanton, AL; Special recognition to Granddaughter, Karen M. Howell of Columbia, SC; 6 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his First Wife, Sylvia Miller Horton and Second wife, Martha Lee Burt Horton. Friends will be received from 6-8, Tuesday, January 15,2013 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
