Robert R. "Bob" Hafner

At the age of 84, Mr. Robert Russell Hafner III, of Clanton, passed away September 12, 2020. He spent 20 years happily married to Robbie M. Hafner, who passed away on September 4, 2020. He was a beloved stepfather to Misti Clayton, Jason Messer and granddaughter Madie Grace Clayton. He will be forever missed. He was born in Chester, South Carolina on November 21, 1936 to the parents of Robert Russell Hafner Jr. and mother Blanche DeLorme Hafner. He served in the United States Army in 1959 in the Army Artillery surface to air missiles for 2 years plus a 3 month extension during the Berlin Crisis. He remained in the reserves for a while afterward. Robert was a proud member of the First United Methodist Church, Clanton, Alabama. He will be transported to Chester, South Carolina and he will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
