He was born on Sunday, June 23, 1940 in Alabama, Son of the late Hubert Oliver Messer and the late Margie Grant Messer Moore. He was a Electronic Tech. Surviving are Wife, Dorothy Messer of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Monica (Todd) Cooper of Clanton, AL; Granddaughters, Alexandra Cooper of Clanton, AL, Morgan Cooper of Clanton, AL, Madeleine McAllister of Richmond, VA, Abigail McAllister of Richmond, VA, Claire McAllister of Richmond, VA; Son-in-Law, Andy McAllister of Richmond, VA.; Brother, Cecil (Carolyn) Messer of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his Daughter, Anita Messer McAllister and Parents, Hubert & Margie Messer. Friends will be received from 5-7, Saturday, April 29, 2017 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Matt DeBord and Rev. Kenny Martin officiating.
