She was born on Tuesday, March 9, 1915 in Coosa Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late John Fred Waites and the late Eula Penton Waites. She was a Clerk. Surviving are her Son, James Oneal Weldon of LaFayette, AL; 3 Daughters, Nadine Powell of Prattville, AL, Nell Herrod of Prattville, AL, Jackie Raines of Prattville, AL; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; Brother, Fred Waites of Deatsville, AL. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Otis Oneal Weldon; Daughter, Jean Weldon Lavin; Daughter, Judy Weldon; Grandson, Troy Lavin. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to service at the church.. Services will be held Monday, October 6, 2008, at 11:00AM. at New Cedron with Rev. Marshall Blalock, Rev. Travis Coleman and Rev. Gary Voyles officiating. Interment will follow in New Cedron, Billingsley, AL Martin Funeral Home directing.
