Ruth B. Vinzant, 85, of Jemison died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Jackson Hospital , Montgomery. She was born on Sunday, December 8, 1929 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late A.O. Boswell and the late Balzola Baker Boswell. She was a nurse for 38 years, 30 years with Dr. Joe & Charles Moore. Surviving are Daughter, Carolyn June (Guthrie) Jeffcoat of Montgomery, AL; Grandson, Derek Shawn (Christy Lynn) Headley; Great-Grandson, Cameron Jeffcoat; Great-Granddaughters, Elizabeth Grace Headley, Emily Carolyne Headley; Step-Grandsons, Ashley & Lance Jeffcoat; Host of Nieces & Nephews; Special Friend, Lori Laxon. She was preceded in death by her Husband, James W. Vinzant and Brothers, Omar, Lloyd, Stan & James Boswell. Friends will be received from 1-2, Friday, October 23, 2015 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, October 23, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Michael Laxon officiating. Interment will follow in Mineral Springs Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
