Sally Ann Burkhalter

Sally Ann Burkhalter, 91, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away January 25, 2023, in Rockford, Alabama.

She was born June 15, 1931 in Alabama, daughter of the late Ira Rivers Liles and the late Annie S. Russ.

She worked in housekeeping for Baptist South in Montgomery for 22 years. Her greatest job was being a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

Surviving are her Daughter, Sherry (Danny) Tippett; Sons, David (Cathy) Dever and Timmy (Tonya) Dever; Daughter, Lisa Emerson; Sons, Leonard (Erika) Burkhalter and Monty (Jennifer) Burkhalter, Grandchildren, Shelley Smith, Shana Smith, Russell Dever, Adam Dever, Kyle Dever, Niko Dever, Skye Dever, Patricia Emerson, Kristen Emerson, Elliott Burkhalter, ChoNayse Sellers, Caellin Burkhalter, Tyler Stephenson and Brennan Taylor; a Host of Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and many loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her Son, Donald Dever ; Husband, Barney E. Burkhalter; Father, Ira Rivers Liles; Mother, Annie S. Russ; 1 Sister and 5 Brothers.

Friends will be received Friday, January 27, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, January 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Deem officiating.

Interment will follow in Floyd Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
