Sammy Don Wilson, 78, of Clanton, Alabama passed away January 28, 2021 in Alabaster, Alabama. He was born August 13, 1942. He was the son of Willie Louise & John Wilson. He was a self-employed plumber & electrician and a member of the Clanton City Council. Surviving are his sons, John David Wilson, Don Carrol Wilson, Hank Glenn; Daughter, Ellen (Ronnie) Mims; Brothers, Ottis Wilson and Johnny Dewayne Wilson; Grandsons, Alex David Wilson, Austin Samuel Wilson, Gage Glenn, Jay (Laura) Mims, Josh (Jaclyn) Mims; Granddaughters, Briana Moore and Nicole Edison; Great grandchildren, Jackson Thomas Mims, Ridlee Lynn Moore, Brady McCormick and Dylan McCormick; 6 nieces and nephews. Pallbearers, David Wilson, Alex Wilson, Austin Wilson, Josh Mims, Corey Clark & Jeremy Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Louise and John Wilson; Brothers JP Collins, James (Buddy) Collins and Carl Edwin Wilson. Visitation will be Monday, February 1, 2021 at Providence Baptist Church #2 starting at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. Funeral service will be Monday, February 1, 2021 at Providence Baptist Church #2 at 1:00 p.m. with Glenn Bonds and Jay Mims officiating.
