Sara Ruth Sewell Atchison, 66, of Lawley, Alabama passed away February 14, 2023, at UAB Hosptial.

She was born January 13, 1957 in Alabama, daughter of the late George Irby Sewell and the late Edith Mae Sewell.

She was the Town Clerk with Maplesville for many years.

Surviving are her Daughter, Kathy (Randall) Hand, Son, Paul Andrew (Kayla) Atchison, 11 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild, Special Friend, Don Johnson, Son of Don, Johnathan (Julie) Johnson, Son of Don, Daniel (Ashley) Johnson, Brother, Kenny (Patsy) Pickle, Brother, Charles (Gina) Sewell, Brother, Tommy (Sonya) Sewell, Brother, Jimmy (Pam) Sewell, Sister, Laura (Jackie) Varner, Sister, Linda Sewell, Sister-in-law, Debbie Pickle, Brother-in-law, Dan Jones.

She was preceded in death by her Father, George Irby Sewell, Mother, Edith Mae Sewell, Husband, Paul Junior Atchison, Daughter, Becky Porter, Sister, Pat Jones, Brother, Robert Pickle.

Friends will be received Friday, February 17, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Randolph Baptist Church.

Services will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm. at Randolph Baptist Church with Brother Ron Gatlin and Brother Tony Reynolds officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove #2 Cemetery, Lawley, AL.
